2/15/2023 0 Comments Upnp player![]() Manual port forwarding and automatic port forwarding both have security drawbacks - automatic means it’s only as safe as its implementation, manual means having to open up the router interface to users to make configuration changes, and also risks forgetting to (manually) close ports again once they’re not needed anymore. This is a somewhat confusing article - in the first paragraph it asserts that the flaw is in the UPnP protocol, but from the article I understand it’s not the protocol itself but certain implementations?
